With Shabbat ending approximately 20:15, we will plan on leaving the area at around that time and no later than 20:30. PLEASE BE PREPARED TO LEAVE ON-TIME SO THAT WE DO NOT HAVE A LONG WAIT FOR THE GROUP TO ASSEMBLE AT THE KOTEL.
As our group has grown over the years, it has become increasingly difficult for everyone to hear the laining of Eicha, especially on the women's side. We have found that splitting into multiple groups for laining has been effective, so we will continue doing things as follows:
We will Daven Maariv as a single group. After Shemona Esreh, we will break up into smaller groups for Eicha. Depending on the overall size of our group, we will subdivide into 2 or 3 smaller groups for Eicha. One group will specifically lain adjacent to (and facing) the mechitza, so the women who come can have a chance to hear (we have been somewhat successful the past few years in having the women hear the laining). We have several youth who have asked to lain and plan to include them with the adult groups as was done the last few years.
After Eicha and the few evening Kinnot, the group will reassemble as a larger group for Aleinu and our annual singing of Im Eshkachech and Ani Maamin. The last couple of years, the singing continued after our departure and ran until the wee hours of the morning. A couple of times, it actually started without us.
I will bring a candle to do MEOREI HA-EISH.
In order to make sure that we can coordinate enough minyanim for Eicha and people to lain, please us the registration form at the following link: Kotel Eicha Registration
This registration will help us plan, by letting us know….
1) That you are coming.
2) How many people are coming with you.
3) If you need a ride or if you are driving (and if so, how many people you can take with you).
4) If you want to lain a perek of Eicha. We will be unable to give a perek to everyone and ask that you mochel us if we cannot honor your request.
5) A cellular number to be used in making a WhatsApp group for that night. This was very effective the last couple of years in helping with logistical coordination.
It is extremely important that each participant informs us by email in advance so that we can adequately prepare Baalei Kriah and Baalei Tefilla.

אני מקווה בכל ליבי שההכנות האלו לא נתקיימו ונחוג את הגאולה ובניין בית השלישי בחג בט' באב. משפחות הכוהנים בקהילותנו ישמחו לעזור לכם עם קורבנותיכם במקדש. אם לאשמתינו הגאולה לא הגיעה, נצטרף יחד עם חברי בית כנסת נופי השמש, בית מדרש תורני לאומי, בית כנסת פייגנסון, בית כנסת עץ חיים ובית כנסת נצח מנשה בתפילת ערבית וקריאת מגילת איכה ליד הכותל, להתאבל על חורבן בית המקדש, במקום הכי קרוב לאתר של בית המקדש כפי שאנו יכולים להיות.
אם יתקיים, צאת השבת אמורה להיות כ20:15 ואנו מתכננים לצאת עד 20:30. בעבר, חנינו בחניון ממילא והלכנו לכותל. נא לדאוג לצאת בזמן שלא נטריד הקבוצה להמתנה ארוכה.
כשנגיע ליד הכותל, נתפלל ערבית כקבוצה. בסיום תפילת שמונה עשרה, כדי להתאפשר שכולם ישמעו את קריאת המגילה, נחלק לקבוצות לקריאת מגילת איכה וקינות הערב.
נחזור לקבוצה גדולה לסיום התפילה ולשיר “אם אשככך” ו”אני מאמין” כקבוצה כמנהגינו. בעבר, המשיכו לשיר מאחרי יציאתינו עוד כמה שעות. אביא נר לברכת בורא מאורי האש.

1. שתשתתף איתנו.
2. כמה יגיעו.
3. אם אתה צריך ''טרמפ'' או אם אתה תנהג ברכב (ואם כן, כמה אנשים אתה יכול לקחת איתך).
4. בדרך כלל יש המון בקשות לכבד את הקהל בקריאת פרק ממגילת איכה. נא לפנות לנו אם בקשתך לזה אבל נא לסלוח לי שאי אפשר לכבד את כל הבקשות לעניין זה.
5. חשוב מאוד: מספר נייד להוספה לרשימת הWHATSAPP לקבוצה.
חשוב לנו מאוד שכל משתתף תרשום איתנו כדי שנוכל לארגן התפילות שיהיו מסודרות.
