As we begin to see the light at the end of this Covid tunnel we are trying to come up with a plan of our own to get back to life inside the Beit Knesset. Of course the official regulations seem unclear, however what is clear is that at some point hopefully very soon we will be allowed to open the Shul for people who are vaccinated or have recovered from the virus.
At this point I would like to ask that anyone who wishes to participate in a minyan in the shul that will be open for only people who are vaccinated or have recovered to please email Hillel Scheinfeld at hilschein@gmail.com and let him know the names of everyone in your family that would want to participate in such a minyan. In addition, you must send Hillel a copy of your teudat Chisun or Hachlamah so that we can verify your eligibility.
Assuming there is enough demand and interest in such a minyan, and assuming the MOH guidelines allow it, we will open the shul for such a minyan this coming shabbat. This minyan will require sign up the same way we have been doing sign up every shabbat until now. Please pay attention to the weekly sign up sheet that we will send out tomorrow.
Please note that we will not stop any of the shul’s outdoor minyanim during this period to ensure that everyone including the youth have a place to daven with a minyan and there is enough demand to keep them going. We will also coordinate this with the other shul’s in the neighbourhood.
We will send out an update regarding the Purim holiday in light of the updated guidelines.
